Elisabetta Zibetti, Raphael Lorenzo, Joffrey Becker, Bertrand Luvison and Serena Ivaldi, HSS and robotics members of the AS3 project, with the help of Julien Wacquez and Fabio Amadio, are working on how groups (vs. individuals) engage with a service robot in the real world. Their research has been published in the HRI Companion ’26.

The 2nd masterclass of the Speculative Exploration Workshops on May 18-19-20, 2026 was organised by the House for potential humanities in partnership with MSH Mondes, to explore robotics in symbiosis with living things, from a solarpunk and permacomputing perspective.

Serena Ivaldi presents the AS3 structured initiative “Decision-making, Learning and Social Interaction” within the Organic Robotics (O2R) research programme. She explores how robots learn through interactions with humans.

Emmanuel Ducourneau, AS1 member, Emmanuel Grimaud, co-director of PEPR O2R et coordinator of the House for potential humanities, with the contribution of Yann Philippe Tastevin, published in the journal Les Temps Qui Restent the manifesto of “deep materiology”, which lays the foundations for a field that is both theoretical and operational, dedicated to the exploration of technical systems in all their depth.

Christine Chevallereau, a member of the AS1 project, with the help of Roxane Vimbert, Idriss Pelletan, Mathieu Porez, and Anick Abourachid, is working on a tensegrity system for bipedalism in robotics. Their research has been published in the Journal of the Royal Society Interface.
